Victorian Vines, King Valley
On a trip to visit friends in Wangaratta a visit to the King Valley vineyards proved very fruitful – not only did we discover some very nice wines and have a chance to sketch the vines but found some dried up grape vines, which I was able to calcine (roast) that night on an open fire to produce a perfect vine black pigment.

The ink used to print this edition is made from calcining dried grape vines found as refuse at King Valley Vineyard. On Arches paper
